Rheola Manor

Welsh Salvage

R.M. Rees (Contractors) Ltd was formed in June 1963.

Originally with the late Mr Ronald Rees at the helm, it started its early life as a small welding company, quickly establishing itself during the 1970s as one of the country's leading dragline construction companies working at home and abroad.

With the closure of many of the country's opencast sites in the late 1980s Ron, Marion and son Howard Rees bought the 50 acre site at Rheola, Resolven where the salvage business currently operates.

R. M. Rees also bought the beautiful and historic 120 acre Rheola House situated around the company's headquarters.

Today Howard, with the help of Howard's children Richard, Amy, Sophie, Pheobe and Jake specialise in the reclamation and sale of materials from traditional Welsh buildings.

We reclaim everything from;

And much more.
The company also operates a market and attracts traders and public from far and wide, using it's ample car parking facilities. Members of SALVO
